Officials of Partido State University (ParSU) paid UP Diliman (91³Ô¹ÏÍø) a visit and met with 91³Ô¹ÏÍø officials led by Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II to talk about possible academic, research, and extension collaborations of the two universities.

The collaborations aim to boost ParSU’s program offerings, introduce research and extension program innovations that would promote sustainable development particularly in ParSU’s immediate service area and resource-dependent communities, and enhance faculty competencies.
Discussed at the meeting were the identified areas of partnership: reading comprehension skills enhancement among elementary school children in the Fourth District of Camarines Sur; sharing of modules in physics, geology, civil engineering and other academic programs; possible 91³Ô¹ÏÍø programs at ParSU; visiting professorship; and the co-advising of ParSU students’ theses and dissertations.
Other topics at the meeting were a possible development of a 91³Ô¹ÏÍø-ParSU joint program on fisheries and other related fields through the Marine Science Institute of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø College of Science, immersion of ParSU faculty in 91³Ô¹ÏÍø laboratories, and ParSU’s exploration to join the network of tourism observatory.

Lanciso; Board Secretary Leih Anne R. Odoño; Planning Director Charlie V. Balagtas; and Executive Assistant Cherrylnn R. Castro.
Vistan was joined at the meeting by Officer-in-Charge-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Percival F. Almoro, Vice Chancellor for Research and Development Carl Michael F. Odulio, and 91³Ô¹ÏÍø College of Education Dean Jerome T. Buenviaje.
The meeting of the university officials was also attended by Representative Arnulf Bryan B. Fuentebella of the Fourth District of Camarines Sur and his wife Anjanette Turalba-Fuentebella.
